About Us
Our Story
With more than a 40-year history as a custom home builder in the South Carolina Low Country and Coastal Georgia, Master Builder Thad Reardon started Greencraft Homes with an eye toward building Certified Green, High Performance, custom homes.
As a second-generation homebuilder in the Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Savannah area, Thad has spent his entire life on construction sites absorbing and learning the ins and outs of every facet of home building. He has built his company on the premise that integrity, knowledge, quality, service and price should each be an integral part of the process.
Every customer has a unique vision of what they want their dream home to be and Thad works diligently to deliver the best possible experience, demonstrating to customers that their vision for a new home can be understood, developed, constructed and loved for a lifetime.
What sets Greencraft Apart from other Builders?
The Greencraft Home Design Process allows homebuyers to develop their initial home layout before an architect ever gets involved. It allows you and Greencraft to design a home specifically tailored to your wants and desires while taking into consideration your budgetary requirements.
So many times, we have found that the dream may not always fall in line with the budget! In order to overcome upfront obstacles, Greencraft uses a 3D design program to help develop the initial layout to ensure we meet your overall goals. We use our years of experience in building to help you put your ideas to paper. We will work with you in person, online via GoTo meetings or over the phone to ensure we capture all your ideas. If you are moving into a gated community, we will take into consideration their Architectural Review Board (ARB) requirements. We have found that we can save weeks of design time and expenses.
This process allows us to get to know you, your style and how best to build the home of your dreams!
Once we have finalized the initial drawings, our estimators will provide a preliminary range of what it will cost to build the home.
Once we have agreed upon the layout and the budget, we start our Design Agreement Process. Most builders require you to put the Agreement in place before the layout is complete. We believe strongly in upfront support to ensure you have the best experience. Our reputation is at stake each time we build a home so we take the time to make sure we do it right!
